🌼🌼🌼Stay Hungry 🌼🌼🌼

Have you ever felt hungry before? Most of us answers should be yes, being hungry sometimes puts us in a state of mind where all we can think of, is finding food. I’m not talking about being “a little hungry ” I’m talking about ” I haven’t eaten all day hungry ” where you can feel your intestines churning and they start to speak to you loudly even when you don’t want to hear it. I’m talking about hunger that have you yearning for food.

I have felt that kind of hunger before and that’s the kind of hunger you need to have in order to reach for your goals. It can be a small goal or it may be big. Whatever it is that you are trying to achieve you need to stay hungry. Let’s face the facts here, life is difficult ( that’s my honest opinion, you don’t have to agree with me) and sometimes it takes more than a little effort to keep our heads above the water. Often times we may just want to kick a bad habit, change a negative behavior or it can even be, to drop a negative person who doesn’t fit in with the direction that you are trying to take yourself. You want to make a change, so then you have to be willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish that goal. So yes, it hurts to drop that negative friend and it sucks to stop eating junk at night; but, how hungry are you? How bad do you want it? Stay hungry.

Hey, sometimes we make an effort and we take that step forward, sometimes even ten steps forward only to take twenty steps back .How hungry are you? Start over, It’s ok to make mistakes ( nobody is perfect) and it’s ok if you have to start over just Stay hungry.

As long as you keep yearning for whatever it is that you want to achieve. Keep that unrelenting passion, keep chipping away little by little and keep the hunger alive you will surprise yourself, you are much much stronger that you think Stay hungry.

  1. Have that struggle time to time . … but then when I see the results and feel good it’s so worth fighting it and staying on track . Yes I do have my chest moment but it’s funny when you think you want, need that junky snack and so you eat it and it was not all as good as you thought.

  2. I like that,”Stay hungry.” It is so easy to squash our feelings with the many “antidotes” that are out there. Thanks for dropping by and subscribing to my blog. I am so pleased to run into a “fellow/fellow-ess” traveler on this difficult sojourn that we are cursed/blessed with. Carry on, my friend.

  3. Another thought, very relevant, is from Marilynne Robinson’s “Housekeeping”—” “Need can blossom into all the compensations it requires.” But it is so easy to deny the “neediness” that is part of being spiritually alive. Thanks again.

  4. The thing I never wanted to do was end up old, my body has given out, and have to look out and say those two most horrible words in the english language “What if . . .”
I’d rather try and fail, and know I gave it my best show, then let fear of failure stop me.

    Thanks for the reminder!

  5. Hardly anyone who is successful at whatever it is they do has never failed. Because it is accompanied by pain we tend to learn a more lasting lesson from failure. Thanks for the “follow.” Barking shall always endeavor to inform, anger – and amuse. continue…
